“A soulful place that engages everytime”
“A fabulous stay in this most unbelievable location, the views are something we will always remember…. BBQ on the terrace watching the sunset, where the sun literally rolls down the cliffs and into the sea, was out of this world…..The house equally impressive, comfy beds with gorgeous linen, great showers, fluffy towels & decorated to a high standard that also suits this intriguing, historic building so very well…..Children dodging the waves (or not) as they crash against the house, swimming, rock pooling and off to Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde to surf”

“It’s like a ship that doesn’t move out to sea”
“A little piece of paradise on the sunny side of the bay. The high tides were awesome, one day a tranquil millpond, the next, the noise was so incredible each time a wave crashed against the walls you could literally feel it! Walks through carpets of primroses & bluebells and seal watching in the bay - we had a magical time!”

“Catch it – cook it – eat it – all from the terrace”
“Every bit as special as I knew it would be! An exceptional, unique, quirky property & such attention to detail. Life has been governed by the ebb & flow of the tide and we haven’t ventured far – no need! Beautifully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly want and more and what a view! Crystal clear, turquoise water where we watched fish from the terrace and falling asleep with the waves lapping the wall beneath the bedroom window was utterly dreamy – the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in helped too!”

“We are not leaving - you’re going to have to evict us!”
“A magical winter week – the house and location surpassed expectations. So warm and cosy by the fire watching every sea themed movie we could think of & listening to the storm raging outside. Shutters on (even the upstairs window) and drawbridge up made for a surreal experience, toasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories - it was all slightly terrifying, but in the best and most memorable way ever!”
